HomeScore Privacy Policy

HomeScore is powered by Confident Buying. This policy explains how HomeScore collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes information when buyers and realtors use the HomeScore app and related services.

Last updated: June 3, 2026

1. Information We Collect

This Privacy Policy governs the HomeScore mobile application, HomeScore web app, and HomeScore-related services. The general ConfidentBuying website Privacy Policy is available at /privacy-policy.html.

HomeScore may collect information that users provide directly, information generated through use of the app, and technical information needed to run the service.

  • Account information such as name, email address, password credentials, user role, and invite or promo code.
  • HomeScore profile data such as budget, areas, commute preferences, desired features, dealbreakers, top priorities, and scoring criteria.
  • Property activity such as saved homes, comparisons, tour notes, buyer-fit scores, assigned homes, favorites, imported listing details, and realtor follow-up questions.
  • Realtor workspace information such as client names, invite codes, assigned homes, known priorities, client status, and activity notes.
  • Device and usage information needed to operate the service, maintain security, debug issues, and improve the product.

2. How We Use Information

We use HomeScore information to provide buyer profiles, score homes on the 0 to 10 HomeScore scale, save tour notes, support comparisons, connect invited buyers with realtors, improve the app, provide customer support, maintain security, and comply with legal or operational obligations.

3. Photos, Microphone, and Tour Capture

HomeScore may request access to the camera, photo library, or microphone when a user chooses to capture tour photos, upload listing media, or use the HomeScore voice interview. These permissions are used only for the feature the user chooses to use.

4. Mobile App Data and Device Permissions

HomeScore may collect or process account identifiers, contact information, home-search preferences, property interactions, app activity, diagnostics, crash logs, device information, and user-generated content such as notes or photos. If push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, or other mobile SDKs are enabled, those services may process device identifiers, diagnostics, or usage events to deliver the feature, improve reliability, or measure app performance.

5. Realtor Invite Visibility

If a buyer joins through a realtor invite or promo code, the connected realtor may see client profile progress, known priorities, assigned homes, tour activity, notes intended for follow-up, and open questions related to that client relationship. Buyers should not enter private financial, legal, medical, or highly sensitive information into tour notes.

6. Sharing and Service Providers

HomeScore may use service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, listing-data access, analytics, support, and app distribution. HomeScore does not sell buyer profile data. Listing data may be provided by MLS, IDX, brokerage, or listing-data partners and remains subject to those providers' display and use rules.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

HomeScore keeps account, profile, tour, client, invite, and property activity while an account is active or while it is needed to provide the service, comply with obligations, protect users, or resolve disputes. Users can request deletion inside the app from My Home Score. Deleting an account removes or unlinks buyer data from active use, subject to legal, security, backup, and compliance retention requirements.

8. State Privacy Rights and Do Not Sell or Share

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. HomeScore does not sell personal information for money. To submit a privacy request or a request related to sale or sharing of personal information, email support@confidentbuying.com with the subject line “HomeScore Privacy Request.”

9. Listing Data

Property data may come from MLS, IDX, broker, agent, public-record, listing-data, or user-provided sources. Listing data is governed by the applicable provider terms and may require attribution, refresh rules, photo restrictions, and display limits.
